Maybe the Nigerian man who marry women with children in South Africa or abroad do it for one of the following reasons: They may feel that the Eurocentric Social Norms of South Africa pull them out of the taboo that you are referring to in Nigeria Because both our culture as well as our Eurocenttic Norms accommodate marrying a person that have children from previous marriages as long as it is done in a dignified where one of the parties had not contributed to the marriage breakdown of the other spouse Maybe they marry a woman from another wedlock with the intention for financial gains from the stranded single parent woman I cannot tell which is the correct answer Just to deviate from your topic:my apology It is just like to punish a teenager who fell pregnant before completing schooling In South Africa our approach is that because it gad already happened against our will and we are devastated,; we still feel that it our responsibility not to banish that child to condemnation but to build the child and give her another chance in life Otherwise my apology to deviate from the main theme God Bless

I for one appreciate your Nigerian practices to marry each other from your respective countries and within your Tribes Reality is that I have seen a lot of Nigerian men marrying South African women just for fun with the sole diabolic intention to reap them off and escape-which is a typical known practice of Nigerian men I hereby honestly thank you with my deepest sincerely for having shared light to South Africans for us to know this very important information about your culture to narrow each other on trial imperatives NB: I hope South African Women will never anymore fall prey to the unscrupulous Nigerian men

Let me just clarify a misunderstanding about South African Culture We have our very rich culture that cut across our 11 languages where we practice our different cultures in our respective homesteads CULTURE I have also noted that Nigerians misunderstand our culture with our Eurocentric Social Norms The posters that you are referring to are not part of our culture, they are one example of Eurocentric Norms that I am referring to Eurocentric Social Norms also have their potfals but I can assure you that they are not part and parcel of our different cultures Some of the food you see in our restaurants do reflect our culture like the porridge and meat that you are referring to TEENAGE PREGNANCY Please note that Teenage Pregnacy is not being encouraged by South Africa;all our different culture view teenage pregnancy being an embarrassment to the entire society Reality is that Teenage Pregnancy is being yielded by the Negative Spin Off of our Democracy where we are busy indoctrination to our youth that Democracy also puts in place Responsibilites and Accountabilities to human beings Our children are being taught that the Democracy they enjoy can also destroy their future if they enjoy it wreclessly and with indecrete I may not be so surprised to note Nigerians lamenting some of our Eurocentric Social Norms that they confuse them with our cultures Some of our Social Challenges that you lament so much will be understood by Nigerians the day Nigeria promotes Democrscy in your country Because Democrscy may sometimes tamper with the Discipline that you are trying to indoctrinate in your house hold in order produce from your children responsible and professional citizens out your offsprings In reiteration; please note that All our different cultures in all our different Clans;Tribes and Nationalities surely Do Not Encourage Teenage Pregnancy because I learn from your comments that it si what you believe I also have a strong feeling that by virtue of being Africans in Africa you cannot begin to belive honestly that there can be any African Country that encourages Teenage Pregnancyz-othrwise that would amount to hypocrisy and deliberate fallacy Proud South African

The meanest comment I heard a Black man say is that Nigerians are unproportional and have a problem with gigantism. In reference to their noses, lips, size, height etc. Ive been to Nigeria and I saw a lot of very beautiful women and handsome men. Plus very stylish friendly and intelligent so ignore these comments.

We don’t want foreigners who are not adding value. We want people who bring scarce skill and not a person who is here to drive Uber or a barber. Those should be reserved for our own. Please stop your false narrative that we don’t want “Black Foreigners” n SA.

They accept them in diaspora because they don't really have too much choice and it's outside the continent Also it's not always also favorable for the men bit only for the women. But why majority of them always end up in single mother if they're really good people? Some leave their husband because of benefits or bad friend advice 😢 then they come to regret it all at last

    • @ChimmaFrancherry

That could be sha,but if truly it is because of the limited choice, they can actually go back home and marry someone so it’s is kind of hard to believe.

In most of the world men do not want to marry women who are single mothers!!!! The man who will marry a woman with children is a special person and really loves that woman. Of course, if the woman can "give" him a green card; landed status or financial benefit in some way, then the stakes are different. There has always been a double standard in regards to what men can do versus what women can do. So ladies, keep those legs closed and don't put yourself in that situation..............
